Om Puri, Urvashi Sharma and Sushant Singh geared for the promotion of their film “Baabarr Film “Baabarr” is all set to hit the box office and hence the team of “Baabarr” including Director Ashuu Trikha, Producer Mukesh Shah, film star-cast including Urvashi Sharma, Sushant Singh, Om Puri went for range of promotions. For the series of promotion and publicity the entire team visited the cities like Kanpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. Leading brand promotions company Brandsmith rolled out a grand promotion for this action-packed film “Baabarr” along with the star cast in the capital city Delhi. The package of promotion included Premiere and interaction with media. Premiere witnessed media cult of the respective city and many well-known celebrities and faces. Producer Mukesh Shah hails from Rajasthan and therefore he joins the team in Jaipur. “Baabarr” received warm appreciation and positive response from the people present at the premiere. Post-premiere, media-interface took place. Veteran actor Om Puri said, “I play the character of police-officer in film. I play a vital and dominating role in the film. And this is best film ever made by Ashuu Trikha.” Director Ashuu Trikha went ahead to say, “Baabarr is crime-thriller pact film. Film was shot in actual and real location of Kanpur. The story revolves around protagonist Baabarr, who enters the crime world by attempting his first murder at the age of 12.”Female lead Urvashi Sharma said, “I play the character of Jiya. She is daughter of Baabarr’s uncle and they are in love with each other. I loved my role when Mr. Ashuu approached with the narration and spontaneously I agreed.” Actor Sushant Singh went ahead to say, “I play Tarbez in the film, who is in the rift with Baabarr. I play character of Chaturvedi police officer in Baabarr- Om PuriOm Puri is always known to depict sheer emotions and acting skills in each and every film he did. And indeed he got recognisation and admiration through prestigious awards like 2 National awards, Filmfare Award, Life-time achievement award, Padmashri award, got nominated in Bafta awards. And yet again he is all set to grab the lime-light from his role in his up-coming action-packed film “Baabarr”. He is playing the character of a police-officer. To believe this will be his 30th time playing police-officer in the film. Recently, with media interaction in Marwaha studio in Noida, he discussed about his film “Baabarr”, his role and many more things. Following is the tête-à-tête:

You are a police-officer in film “Baabarr”. Elaborate -Yes, I am playing a police-officer. There was no reason to choice specifically this. God knows how many more times I’ll play police-officer.From “Ardhsatya” you have played the character of police-officer several times. How does it feel? -The journey of being police-officer from film “Ardhasatya” till “Baabarr” has been great and much more beyond learning and witnessing hard-core reality. I have played both positive as well as negative shades of police-officer. In “Ardhsatya” I was honest, committed and dedicated police-officer.
Whereas in “Baabarr” I am corrupted police-officer. I help culprits and go ahead with planning-plotting against its own system. I thoroughly enjoyed playing police-officer Chaturvedi. In reality such officers do exist in our system.Come back to “Baabarr” what is the story of the film? It is kind of creating anxiety. - This is the story of a boy who started from the streets of Aman ganj had trespassed every barrier of crime. BAABARREven the movie stars Mithun da. How was it to work with him? -It was immense pleasure to work with him. Everyone knows what kind of actor he is. I always earned pleasure to work with stars like Amitabh Bachchan in film “Dev” and Naseeruddin Shah in film “Maqbool”.You are known to get into the debt of the role you play. Did any role had major impact on you and affected your personal life? -Yes, “Ardhsatya” role really influenced me. Talking about other roles, until I am on sets, the character is the only thing which revolves in my mind and blood. Once I am off sets I simply Om Puri.How was the experience to work with Director Ashuu Tirkha? -He picked up a good subject. It is not easy to shoot on real location from where the film is based on. Director’s Vision

The germ was there for quite a while, in my mind…

I never got around to nurturing it for a simple that I never thought that I would get a producer for this type of cinema in todays world.

I have known Feroze Alameer for around 4 years now, having joined his organization as an assistant transport manager.

One day I made a brief narration of the story to him. He was excited and asked me to give him a bound script.

The moment I started penning down “Blue Oranges”, there was no stopping. It was as if the story was waiting in some corner of my mind, to be written.

I had completed the script within a week and mailed it to Feroze Alameer. He green lit the film immediately. This was nothing short fo a miracle. One of those invisible miracles that guide us through the journey of our lives. The Very miracles that “Blue Oranges” is all about.

The shooting was scheduled to commence six weeks after my meeting with the Producer.

Our team got to work immediately, casting, locations recces, etc. Every member of the team believed in the film and put in a hundred percent.

The shoot commenced at a very high note, and this fervor continued till the very end despite the fact that we had to overcome several obstacles. It came to a point where we had to shoot for 37 hours at a stretch due to a location being cancelled. We were supposed to shoot for 2 days in this location, but since it was cancelled, we could only get the alternate location for one day.

We shot here for 24 hours, and both the Producer and I was ready to cancel the next days shoot. But the entire cast and crew wanted to keep going. So we went to the next location and shot through the day.

Similarly, the Art Director that we had initially selected for the film could not make himself available. He pulled out barely a week before the shoot. We went on a mad scramble to get a good Production Designer who would be able to deliver with just a weeks prep.

He was perhaps the only person who was about to work with our team for the first time. But he delivered …. And how !

Writing a script of a who dunnit genre is extremely challenging, yet it has always intrigued me. Blue Oranges is a love story with a murder to boot.

Having completed the film, I personally feel satisfied with what we have achieved. I sincerely thank all the cast for their brilliant performances and the crew for their dedication and undying support for the film.

Hot & sexy babe…known for her flirtatious nature in college…she used to say in college publicly that even a thumbnail picture of Brad Pitt can turn her on…she was a part of the most talented theatre group of Pune and was considered a fabulous actress… now she acts in a popular daily soap and is always seen in Page 3 parties with different guys…she was mad about Rahul in college, because according to her he looked like Brad Pitt…but Rahul was very 'seedha' at that time…because of that Antara couldn't sleep with him despite of so many efforts…in the last few years she has realized something very peculiar about herself…nonetheless, she is the same girl, a sex maniac and her desires are still not dead…she is looking forward to this trip…

AMAY

He is a tall, muscular guy from Haryana…he is hot with 8 pack abs and broad shoulders…he is not very intelligent and it takes him quite some time to understand things…he thinks that he has a great sense of humors…he had always wanted to become a model and has gone really far on steroids and drugs in order to have a good physique…now the drugs have started taking toll on his body but he continues to ignore it and remains high on life…he and Rocky used to work out together, so he is the one who is most happy for Rocky…he is really looking forward to make Rahul jealous with his increased biceps and toned up legs…

PRIYA

Hugely talented…a trained musician…he plays around 5 musical instruments including saxophone and guitar and also sings well…he was studying fine arts, went to Goa in the vacations, got a great tuning going with a local Jazz band and started playing with them…he left studies and decided to settle in Goa…one night a solo saxophone performance got Marianne, a Mexican tourist, falling head over heels for him…now they have decided to get married…but Rocky's luck has always betrayed him…he has been hugely unlucky, wanted to record an album with a big company but his samples got rejected not once but five times…his throat always got bad on the day of big performances…he is keeping his fingers crossed now, that this marriage of his, happens…

GOA

Goa, a beautiful coastal city with wonderful beaches and scenic places…people come here for recreation…but people can even lose their way in life by insinuating themselves too much in the leisure…gambling, drugs, alcohol, rave parties…there is enough for the distraction and some people do get distracted, a little too much like our 5 friends who have come for the old friend Rocky's wedding…Film is about love and friendship. It also gives a picture of the changing equations between friends over the time.Story revolves around five friends who haven’t seen each other from long time and get together in one of the friends marriage. Wedding ceremony is being arranged for “3 Nights’ and “4 days’ and all that happens during this period is the film all about.
