Introduction

We, at Khussro Films, have a passion for film making and revere any work related to film making and entertainment and believe that the most effective and powerful medium of reaching out to the sensibilities of the vast masses is through the celluloid.

This powerful medium of human expression creates dreams for those looking out to the world as their playing field, it makes dreams a reality, it makes the hearts come closer and distances disappear, it makes the world to shrink into your fist.

Khussro Films has been into this business of making dreams a reality since more than 20 years. The journey began with providing production support and planning for the International Filmmaking fraternity wanting to shoot films in India and there has been no looking back since then. Khussro Films has most successfully helped out a number of film makers from across the world to make films not only in India, but also in countries as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma) and endeavours explore any

location across the world.

The speciality of Khussro Films in the filmmaking business is the understanding of the needs of the filmmaking world and matching up with the professionalism required and timely delivery matching up with the most challenging needs in this business.

Although, India makes the largest number of films in the world but the application in making films in India is very different than those made overseas and the trained crew to match up with the foreign crew, in terms of the professionalism and technology had been missing since long.

Khussro Films realised the very basic needs and the lack of technology and the trained crew in India and hence ventured to train the Indian crew and encourage the various vendors for upgrading the equipments for quality filmmaking.

Hence a long journey undertaken and various hurdles cleared for KHUSSRO FILMS to boast of a backup of trained professional crew, a vast location archive in India,

Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Myanmar (Burma), an excellent

backup of advanced cinematic equipment, logistical support, Government Clearances, Customs Clearances, Accommodations and Transport and most importantly Casting.

Khussro Films has everything ready for you to come and make a film.

Director’s Vision

The germ was there for quite a while, in my mind…

I never got around to nurturing it for a simple that I never thought that I would get a producer for this type of cinema in todays world.

I have known Feroze Alameer for around 4 years now, having joined his organization as an assistant transport manager.

One day I made a brief narration of the story to him. He was excited and asked me to give him a bound script.

The moment I started penning down “Blue Oranges”, there was no stopping. It was as if the story was waiting in some corner of my mind, to be written.

I had completed the script within a week and mailed it to Feroze Alameer. He green lit the film immediately. This was nothing short fo a miracle. One of those invisible miracles that guide us through the journey of our lives. The Very miracles that “Blue Oranges” is all about.

The shooting was scheduled to commence six weeks after my meeting with the Producer.

Our team got to work immediately, casting, locations recces, etc. Every member of the team believed in the film and put in a hundred percent.

The shoot commenced at a very high note, and this fervor continued till the very end despite the fact that we had to overcome several obstacles. It came to a point where we had to shoot for 37 hours at a stretch due to a location being cancelled. We were supposed to shoot for 2 days in this location, but since it was cancelled, we could only get the alternate location for one day.

We shot here for 24 hours, and both the Producer and I was ready to cancel the next days shoot. But the entire cast and crew wanted to keep going. So we went to the next location and shot through the day.

Similarly, the Art Director that we had initially selected for the film could not make himself available. He pulled out barely a week before the shoot. We went on a mad scramble to get a good Production Designer who would be able to deliver with just a weeks prep.

He was perhaps the only person who was about to work with our team for the first time. But he delivered …. And how !

Writing a script of a who dunnit genre is extremely challenging, yet it has always intrigued me. Blue Oranges is a love story with a murder to boot.

Having completed the film, I personally feel satisfied with what we have achieved. I sincerely thank all the cast for their brilliant performances and the crew for their dedication and undying support for the film.
